Calumet Start/Finish Line
Starting Line
Join us in downtown Calumet for the kick off of the CopperDog 150.
Over 30 sled-dog teams will be firing off into the night to begin their
150 mile trek to Copper Harbor and back again. The action begins at 7PM
on Friday, March 12. Come on downtown, have some dinner, then find your
spot at the starting shoot. The action begins at 7:00PM and teams will be
departing into the night until 8:00pm or 8:30pm.
Checkpoints
Race teams get two breaks on their 150 mile tour of the Keweenaw. The
first checkpoint is in Gay- to learn more about the Gay checkpoint,

Finish Line
Teams will complete their journey across the wilderness on Sunday, March 14th, between 1pm
and 4pm on 5th Street in Calumet. Come out and chear these teams on as
they finish the first-annual 150-mile CopperDog race.
Finisher's Banquet / Award Ceremony
The Irish Times in Laurium will be hosting the Finisher's Banquet / Award Ceremony.
The menu includes Tossed salad with dressing, Medallions of beef tenderloin, Seasoned and baked chicken,
Mashed potatoes and gravy, Vegetable du jour, Dessert, Fresh baked bread, Coffee / water for $15.00/person.
